“We believe that interpretation and design are about story-telling, rather than mere information dissemination. We believe in a visitor-centered experience; accessible, inclusive, engaging and fun.”

With the intention to inspire, engage and entertain visitors, The new Bird Park would provide an incredible resource for those looking to deepen their knowledge of birds, nature and biodiversity, as well as conservation issues. It would collect, research, conserve, protect, interpret and offer a home to a myriad of avian species, while preserving the existing flora and fauna on site.

Based on this powerful vision, we conducted a thorough study of the different species of birds at the proposed Bird Park and developed a series of signage and displays that highlighted unique features of bird; the beaks, feathers, tails, feet, etc. This became the driving process behind a fun, unique experience of discovery for the visitor.

To present our proposal, we designed a set of publications based on a re-imagination of the habitat of these birds; the tropical rainforest, the beach and polar habitats of penguins.
